Pursuant to the Company Law, Ertan Hydropower Development Company was restructured into a limited-liability company.

August 18, 1998

The 1st unit of 550MW of Ertan Hydropower Station was put into operation.It was China's largest turbine-genenrator unit in operation at that time.

Construction of Ertan Project fully completed.

October 20, 2003

National Development and Reform Commission issued a document which authorizes EHDC to be fully responsible for development of the hydro-energy resources by building and running the cascade projects on the Yalong River.

Construction of Jinping-I Hydropower Project was officially commenced.

Ertan Hydropower Station was awarded the State's prize of 'Environment-friendly Project'.

December 4, 2006

River closure for Jinping-I completed, 2 years earlier than anticipated.

December 5, 2006

Ertan’s accumulated power generation reached 100 TWh.

January 30, 2007

Construction of Jinping-II Hydropower Project was officially commenced.

River closure of Jinping-II Hydropower Project is successfully fulfilled.

Ertan Hydropower Plant successfully realized full remote-controlled operation mode.

Concrete works of the world's highest arch dam Jinping-I dam was started.

The company's total asset exceeded RMB50 billion.

The company's equity structure altered. After State Development & Investment Corporation acquired the 4% of the company's shares from China Huadian Corporation, the company became owned by 2 shareholders, namely State Development & Investment Corporation and Sichuan Provincial Investment Group Co., Ltd., with share percentages of 52% and 48% respectively.

Ertan Hydropower Plant passed 5-star authentication by NOSA, thua becoming China's first NOSA 5-star hydropower plant.

Construction of Guadi and Tongzilin projects was officially commenced.

November 28, 2011

River closure for Tongzilin Project was successfully achieved.

November 30, 2011

Dam concrete of Guadi Project was fully placed to crest tunnels.

December 8, 2011

The 4 headrace tunnels, 1 drainage tunnel and 2 access tunnels passing through the Jinping mountains, with a total length of 120km, were all broken through.

March 31, 2012

The 1st unit of 600MW of Guadi Hydropower Station was put into operation.

April 13, 2012

Yalong River Control Center, based in Chengdu, was formally put ingto operation.

May 31, 2012

The 2nd unit of 600MW of Guadi Hydropower Station was put into operation.By then, the total generation capacity of Sichuan Province excessded 50GW.

November 8, 2012

As required by National Energy Administration and approved by national and provincial authorities for administration of industry and commerce, the company's name was changed from 'Ertan Hydropower Development Company,Ltd.' to 'Yalong River Hydropower Development Company,Ltd.'.

December 30, 2012

The 1st unit of 600MW of Jinping-II Hydropower Station was put into operation.

Company's total asset exceeded RMB100 billion.
